Patrick, thanks for sharing! My family has been considering an overseas experience. Although Stockholm was not on our list, I am no inclined to add them now. Your recommendation led to a 3+ minutes investment into a video. The video’s content caught my attention. The power of word-of-mouth marketing.

As for the Tactical Abyss question, did they get a Return on their Objective (ROO)? One can only assume their objective was to increase awareness, so yes.

I agree with what’s said in the article, especially the bit about it being like radio.

So far, I’ve found that the @SpringfieldPPU profile I manage on Twitter for my old school is bringing me useful news items and leads for story ideas for our past pupils newsletter. There are quite a few non-Springfield past pupils following the tweets – I find that quite curious.

What I want to know is what should the frequency of ones tweets be for you to be relevant/top of mind?

Although “tweep” collectors already exist, with the amount of media Twitter is getting lately, I am sure that soon all people will be talking about is how many tweeps they have, just like friends on MySpace or FaceBook. There will be the bandwagon jumpers that will probably make all the Speeters jobs payoff someday; but there will also be those people who “get” twitter and use it to network, create relationships and find the information they need.
I have established so many new connections via Twitter, probably because I realize what an amazing tool it truly is, and although I’d like everyone to use it for the same reasons I do, I also realize everyone has their own mission, just as with anything else in life.
I think i’ve discovered that Twitter, like life, is what you make of it. It’d be nice if all the Speeters would get lost, I have an iPod, iPhone and iMac…I don’t need another, but the lure of easy money through sketchy means will always excite people.

I am blushing – humbled because I’m just doing what I do naturally – helping people.

Twitter works but many folk take advantage of people in the real world, so its no surprise they do the same online.

I only hope that if we keep spreading the word like you have above then the good guys will win!
